Edwin is the Founder and Managing Director of Airline Inflight Services Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based aviation consultancy dedicated to supporting the inflight and travel industry in Asia. He has over 15 years’ experience in airline catering across Australia and Singapore in a variety of general management, commercial, sales & marketing and operations roles.

 

Edwin has spent nearly ten years working on inflight retail programs and enjoyed the myriad challenges it brought, from successfully delivering projects like new route start-ups, establishing new product supply chain, optimizing catering operating models, inflight product development and cost reduction initiatives.

 

He has a keen focus on operational excellence and process optimization, having successfully established and managed hub catering operations for the Jetstar Group in Singapore and Japan, in addition to managing stations across Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. All the while leveraging on his strong cross-cultural competencies to support both airline and supply partners in achieving their performance targets.

 

Edwin is a highly experienced food safety auditor and to date has conducted nearly 100 audits across inflight catering facilities, food factories and hotel kitchens with production capacities varying from several hundred to over 50,000 meals daily.

 

He is also an experienced tertiary educator actively supporting the next generation of aviation leaders. Edwin has delivered aviation modules on Airport Planning and Project Management at Bachelor’s degree level for RMIT University and continues to lecture on an adjunct basis.

 

Passionate about aviation, Edwin has held a Flight Dispatcher Certificate and is currently working on regaining his Private Pilot’s Licence.
